Picardy III – Lonely Songs

A person could do a lot worse than check out this freebie from Austin’s Picardy III, the follow-up live recording taken from a show during his US tour and get a copy of the new full-length album, A Savior.

Picardy III is essentially singer-songwriter, James Summers, who writes songs that mix the slow, acoustic melancholy of Lou Barlow with the ramshackle country rock of Counting Crows (ramshackle country rock). He also sounds a lot like Damien Jurado. In short, well worth listening to!
